Discover all the advantages of a wedding in the Langhe
Are you looking for a wedding photographer in the Langhe? Choose Federico Valenzano as your photographer and find out why getting married in the Langhe is becoming a must.
The Langhe are a predominantly hilly area located in the province of Cuneo.
In recent years this area, perfect for weddings, is becoming more and more appreciated by spouses from all over Europe to celebrate their wedding.
The Langhe are perfect for getting married because they have practically everything:
The Langhe are known all over the world for their wonderful wines. The noblest wine in the world, his majesty Barolo, is born among these hills of Cuneo. Not only Barolo, among these Piedmont hills some of Italy’s most famous wines are born, such as Barbaresco, Dolcetto d’Alba and Nebbiolo. The Langhe, however, are not only great producers of red wine but also of white such as the Arneis, the Favorita and the Alta Langa.
Photographs are one of the main elements for the perfect success of a wedding, which is why I am thrilled when I have to make a service in the Langhe. I firmly believe that the Langhe are the ideal place to celebrate a wedding. The beauty of the hills and the history of the Piedmontese villages are the perfect mix to create spontaneous photos that manage to capture all the emotions of an unforgettable day.
The historic villages
Our country is full of splendid historic villages, the Langhe are no exception. Monforte, Barolo, Serralunga and La Morra are just some of the wonderful villages that a photographer like me knows well. These small villages of the Langhe are all perched on heights and characterized by castles, small craft shops and ancient churches. A good photographer for weddings in the Langhe is able to bring out the beauty of these places that have stood still in time, thus creating unforgettable wedding photos.
The Langhe hills were included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2014 thanks to the breathtaking landscapes. The official motivation of the Unesco committee says that “the wine-growing cultural landscapes of Piedmont of Langhe-Roero and Monferrato are an exceptional testimony of man’s interaction with his natural environment“. This is one of the few cases in which the human hand has managed to enhance a picturesque territory than to ruin it. Think of what it would be like to get married in the Langhe, historic villages, vineyards as far as the eye can see, the hills and the diversity of colors make these places ideal for wedding photo shoots.
The Vineyards of the Langhe have nothing to envy to the most noble Tuscan vineyards, both for the quality of the wines produced and for the beauty of the landscapes. The Langhe are full of breathtaking landscapes, to find an evocative glimpse and just take the roads that run along the various hills, turn off the engine of the car and dive into the wonderful vines. Weddings in the Piedmontese vineyards are simply unforgettable thanks to their breathtaking landscapes and beautiful wedding locations. The culinary heritage of our country is unparalleled so it is not difficult to find excellent dishes to taste in each region. The Langhe thanks to the presence of several starred restaurants have become a reference point in the Italian culinary panorama. Vitello tonnato, tajarin, agnolòt dël plin, gray rabbit from Carmagnola and Bunet are just some of the delicious dishes of Piedmontese cuisine.
The Barolo Chapel
The Barolo Chapel is a small building in the hills of La Morra built in 1919 to protect the farmers who worked in the fields from sudden showers. This church, never consecrated over time, has unfortunately suffered the inevitable effects of time but, thanks to the artists David Tremlett and Sol LeWitt, in 1990 it returned to its splendor. The two artists have decided to give their own personal interpretation to the church by creating wonderful plays of color on the external walls. Thanks to the skilful work of the two artists, today the Chapel has become a reference point for newlyweds who decide to get married in the Langhe.
