Nestled in the rolling hills of Piedmont, at Monastero Bormida, Villa La Madonna was the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable wedding: breathtaking views, a warm atmosphere and vineyards in every direction.
The bride got ready in one of the villa's beautiful rooms, in soft natural light. The ceremony took place with the vineyards as a backdrop, and the reception, with candlelight, local food and a first dance under the stars, was pure magic.
My goal, all day long, was to capture the authentic moments that tell the true story of a wedding: loving glances, laughter, the little details. The couple's portraits, at golden hour over the vineyards, say the rest.

The ceremony
The lawn facing the vineyards is perfect for an outdoor ceremony. Plan it in the late afternoon, when the light is softer.
The golden hour
Keep twenty minutes free before sunset for portraits among the vines: it is the light everybody remembers.
Getting there
Monastero Bormida is in the Langa Astigiana, about an hour from Alba. Turin and Milan airports are both within easy reach by car.
