From the Madonna dei Fiori
to the Agenzia di Pollenzo

The Agenzia di Pollenzo is the 19th-century royal estate built by King Charles Albert just outside Bra: a large enclosed courtyard, crenellated towers, a park with centuries-old trees. Today it is home to the Albergo dell'Agenzia, one of the most elegant wedding venues between the Langhe and the Roero.

Alessandra and Matteo married on 21 September 2024 at the Santuario della Madonna dei Fiori in Bra, and celebrated here with their families, their friends and little Nicole.

It was an elegant wedding full of surprises: the golden light of late afternoon, butterflies on stilts in the courtyard, a cake among the sparks and a party that went on deep into the night.

The morning

Getting ready

The shoes, the rings and the invitation with their initials. Nicole in her flower crown, the mermaid gown with tulle sleeves, the spiral staircase. Elsewhere, Matteo gets ready with laughter, a glass of wine and a golden retriever who misses nothing.

The moment

The sanctuary

The Santuario della Madonna dei Fiori, with its frescoed portal and the little flower girls in tutus. The bride's arrival, the aisle on her father's arm, the vows, the kiss. And a laugh during Mass that says everything about them.

The afternoon

Under the veil

After the church, a pause at home, just the two of them. The low sun behind the house, the veil becoming a hideaway, the lawn and the pool in golden light.

As they arrive in the courtyard, silk butterflies on stilts open their white wings and champagne cascades down the tower of glasses. Then the park at sunset, and the bouquet toss as the lights come on.

The evening

Dinner

A very long table of candles, roses and baby's breath. The bride's entrance to applause, the toasts, the first dance beside the white piano.

The night

The party

The cake with their initials, sparkler fountains, the fire performer and butterflies of light. Then the second dress, the heart-shaped sunglasses and a dance floor that never emptied.

What I have learned photographing a wedding between the Santuario della Madonna dei Fiori and the Agenzia di Pollenzo, just outside Bra.

Time

The drive from the sanctuary to Pollenzo takes only a few minutes. Use them well: one stop for portraits in the afternoon light is worth more than an hour of posing.

The park

The Agenzia's lawn, with its trees and the palace in the background, is perfect at sunset. Twenty minutes away from the guests is enough, while the drinks reception is under way.

The evening

At night the courtyard becomes a stage: candles, flowers, outdoor performances. Think about the lighting when you plan the decor, because that is what stays in the photos.
